I have to say that you totally did a number on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies! The same 30 second spot over and and over and over. The "technical difficulties", the really bad commentary. The funny thing is, you had 11 hours to polish it and make quite the presentation, yet you didn't.
If this was an attempt to win more people over to NBC-HD - - YOU BLEW IT! All of my guests could not see the big deal, they were less than impressed. They really saw no need to even consider NBC-HD, yet alone HD programming at all.
Plain and Simple, you totally trashed the Olympic Opening Ceremonies (at least in this market).
It's too bad too, thankfully for me I can watch the Canadian coverage, which is a 100 times better.

The WORST thing they did was drop the flame lighting cermony. I mean we put up with the 2002 review. We endured the bad commentary and horrific comerical. Then we barely see Greece enter the stadium when BAM local news in progress... WTF? I put up with all that in the hopes that I'd at least see the flame lighting cermony, NO it was cut.
I'll admit I have a low oppinion of NBC anyway, but their HD coverage was worse than bad.
