An old friend has woken up to remind us that she is alive and well. This would be Mount St. Helens in Southern Washington. She first stirred back in March of 1980 which resulted in the huge eruption in May of that same year. Then SHE stirred again back in 1986.

Well ONCE again she stirred, it was around 12 noon our time (Pacific) and it lasted around 20 minutes. Actually she started about a week ago by shaking, and that area shook and shook and shook with hundreds of small earthquakes until the eruption this afternoon. The earthquakes stopped for a short time but according to the news reports, she has started to shake again.
What happens next is only a mystery ....
