Canada wins the GOLD at the 2005 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship

Russia won the Silver, the Bronze went to the Czech Republic ... sadley Team U.S.A. was 4th.

Don't know if you would have gotten it on the US feed, but TSN had an interview after the second period with one of the Canadian players who wasn't playing in that game due to illness. They identified the poor guy as being out with mono. They couldn't have just said he was sick?
Go Canada! The Yeah - the Russian team plays dirty - that's totally how they beat the US. The US-Russia game was NOT a fair game, and I have to give the US team credit - it would have been very tempting for them I think to have stooped to Russia's level, but they didn't.
