Well I watched the USGP with disgust today as only 6 cars raced (Bridgestone users). The rest of the field (all using Michelin tires) opted not to race in a very confusing and annoying protest.
My opinion, those Michelin teams had choices (within the rules) and made the wrong one. Good job shooting Formula One in the foot in the U.S.A.
Would there be this much controversy if the tables were reversed? My answer - PROBABLY NOT.

I love how Jacques Villeneuve found a way to blame Ferrari for the debacle (towards the end of the article) That's one hell of a big red chip he carries around on his shoulder ;-)
