Last week I started a new situation operating the sound at a large sporting stadium nearby. Last week the attendance was 70,045, this past Saturday it was 74,927!!! (3rd largest attendance at this stadium ever!). It always impresses my how loud crowds of fanatical fans can get - WOW.

Just got home from a super tiny road trip - We did some work with Hall and Oates in Seattle and in Portland. Great crew, great band, great show.

Friday was a big show call for the company I work for. I took a large system to Key Arena to supplement a traveling show there. When it was all hung up, there were 104 boxes in the air from 22 points.

I once worked with Kenny G, I was the guitar and keyboard tech ... and I haveto admit I was not the good at it. I learned some great lesson, I learned some new skills, and most of al I made some new friends.
Sadley one of them passed away last weekend. Boo Boo, rest in peace my friend, rest in peace.

.... Makin' Sound

Make that a 3 day tour. Just got back from a 3 day run with Lynyrd Skynyrd. We hit Spokane, Everett and Portland back to back. For the most part they had great crowds. In Portland I did have the joy to mix a not so well recieved band. The "Skynyrd" crowd just didn't like 'em and communicated it so - very effectively - oy vey - awkward moment. OH yeah .. a note to them - don't talk smack about the Audio guys when clearly you sucked! you know who you are - nuff said.
Here's a few of images from the trip....

This weekend we did sound for Video Games Live 2005. The concept, 60+ piece orchestra playing video game soundtracks live while the game title video highlights were being played in a large video screen. Our shows were at the Paramount Theater in Seattle and Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver B.C.

There were many people in costumes (for the contests) and everyone seemed to be into it. It was warmly welcomed both nights.

What? The Show is cancelled? We prepped and loaded the trucks the day before and then drove for a few hours to do sound for a weekend festival. That festival ended up being canceled a meer few hours from when the festival camp ground was to open.
