A Flower for my girls!

For the last week I have been wanting to go to the zoo with my girls. We got up a little early (for a Sunday) and headed right over to the Woodland Park Zoo. Part of my "need" for the zoo was to experience the Giraffe feedings, where for a small price (which goes to help fund programs) you can get 5 or 10 minutes hanging out face to face with a Giraffe and feeding them leaves. VERY COOL! See below for a few images ...

Well .. not in this case. We decided it was time to get our girl a playset, the only requirement right now was a baby swing. So we went out looking and found this to be the answer.

We figure this will give her YEARS of enjoyment, and in turn that would be a great investment.
Here's to you baby girl -
Taking inventory of all the parts - 1 1/2 hours
Taking said parts and build a massive playset - 6+ hours
Putting your daughter on her own swing and getting a huge smile - PRICELESS!

Happy Birthday to YOU,
Happy Birthday to YOU,
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday,
Happy Birthday to YOU!!!!
Today my absolutely wonderful daughter is ONE!

...to Grandma and Grandpa's house we go! Actually it was a 4+ hour plane ride with Air Canada to Toronto (This is where I won't mention that they totally ignored me on the way out until I complained I was really wanting a beverage)... and after that a 2 hour car ride to a small farming community, Simcoe Ontario.
The little did great on the flight and great in the car. We celebrated Easter, and just hung out so Grandma and Grandpa could get to know their new Grand Daughter (their first).
We sat on Grandma's lap and had stories read to us ....

We tried to eat veggies, but mostly wore them (it's good for ones complexion, I think)....

We had some challenges with the time change of three hours but gradually got back to a routine. We went for walks and went to the park every day to feed the ducks old bread.

And then we flew home. She did well on the flight home too! it's good to be back home, now on to summer!
So I find myself taking more pictures than ever lately....
This one I call - Baby Girl in the Village (not to be confused with Dave in the Village HERE)

More about that HERE
Here in the U.S. of A. it is Thanksgiving Day. It all started in 1620 when the Pilgrims (English Searatists Church) sailed away (fled) from merry ol England and set ground at Plymouth Rock. Their first winter was devastating as they lost almost half the party of over 100. The harvest of 1621 was a bountiful one and the colonist decided to celebrate with a feast which included Indian who helped the colonist survive that first winter.
Nowadays, we get dressed in our fancy holiday clothes...

We woke up to a beautiful day here in the great Pacific Northwest (PNW for you abbrev. nuts). So we decided to go to the Woodlawn Park Zoo in Seattle. It was quite the warm October day.
